Zoo Lights

We went to the National Zoo last night. At this time of year, they have a special event called Zoo Lights. There are festive lights all around, some set to music. It was fun and it was a beautiful night. We thought it was warm... others thought it was rather chilly.

We celebrated the 7th night of Hanukkah at Nanny and Pop-Pop's house. We missed Stu and Shelley. It was a wonderful night filled with food and family.

Christmas Eve with Friends

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve in the annual tradition with the Bouchards and the Williams at the Zullo's house this year. It was warm, inviting, festive, and fun. Thank you to everyone for making it special.

Here are two more photos of the snow. It's still falling. Quite beautiful.

It just keeps coming

We've had a number of other storms, and more seems to be on the way. I'm hesitant to always share the same news in the winter, but we do live in Vermont...

Here are a couple of photos from today.

Our First Snow Day

We're home today. There are about 6 inches of beautiful white snow on the ground. I got some footage of the boys building and playing. This will evolve to have more complex activities once they get used to it again. Today was just time to get reacquainted with snow...! We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Slime Science

Here goes Cooper again... this time he's a mad scientist. Using a book about slimy science projects, he created "Toe Cheese". Check out the photos.

Quite a Masterpiece

The boys spent a lazy day this weekend constructing a card castle, using every card from every possible game we own. Can you see the peace sign? It was quite impressive and now they're enjoying the arduous task of sorting the cards and cleaning them up.

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

Halloween '08

Halloween falling on a Friday night added a frightful nature. We hear that we didn't have as many trick-or-treaters due to the scary man and gravestone on the front porch...

But we did have great friends over with which we shared the events of the evening. The Boooochards, the Zuuulos and the Williams (can't do anything to their name) joined us, as well as drop in visits from Karin and Wright and more. Cooper broke the mold and went to a different neighborhood to be with friends.

Sam, Jack, Alex, Bailey, Kate, Owen, and Neva still joined in on the fun at our house.

Here are some photos... there may be more coming.

Halloween Parade

Today was the annual Shelburne Halloween Parade. Cooper dressed as the Hunchback of Notre Dame. Sam was..., well Sam was. He has other ideas for the real holiday.

Here's a photo and some short video footage from today.

An A-Maze-ing Time

Hi-
Here's a very short video clip from our visit to Mazza's Corn Maze, an annual outing. We did the whole maze this time. We went with Judy, Jack, and Alex K. The kids got way ahead of Judy and I, but we successfully found all of the checkpoints throughout the maze. The farm animals at the end provided some entertainment as well.

Fall in Vermont

Hello!

The scenery around here is spectacular. It's been sunny and warm, and the leaves are at their peak. We picked apples with our friend, Jack, at the town's orchard.

We had the finale for soccer all day on the 11th. Yes, as you'll see in the photos, it's a tradition to spray color in your hair. Sam played goalie for half of each game, doing his best. Cooper's team won the championship for their division. He even had his name and team photo in the town newspaper.

I drove to work at school for a bit one Sunday afternoon recently and saw a hot air balloon in the sky. Then I realized it was landing at the school! Couldn't resist taking a few photos. See below for those.

Another great trip

We just got back from a great family trip. There is so much to share that I can't keep up. We were in the Adirondacks, Cooperstown, Salem, MA, a Red Sox game, and Ogunquit, Maine.

Some photos from Indian Lake in the Adirondacks. So beautiful.

Sam's 11th Birthday

Sam had a great time with 4 of his friends and Cooper. They spent the night, with Stu, at a nearby hotel. They swam, ate a lot, and played with the Wii. (A great present from family.) Fortunately, the room offered plenty of space and no one complained about the noise. A miracle.

Here are some photos of the special event.

The Beach 2008

There is so much to share about our wonderful two weeks in Bethany Beach, Delaware with the Snyder family. It was our 22nd year. Look to the link section above to see Jody and Jeffrey's photos from this year.

Here's one video clip of the grandchildren during the annual photo shoot.

Cooper's 8th Birthday

We have celebrated Cooper's birthday for more than a week now. First he had a party, which featured a trip to see "Kung Fu Panda" followed by fun at home with water toys. Then we went out for dinner to celebrate his 'real birthday' with his friend, Andrew. We will continue to celebrate when we're together with family on our annual beach trip coming up soon.
